Local Rules & Information
1 March 2016

1. Out of bounds
Defined by white stakes or fences (Rule 27-1b).

2. Lateral water hazard
Defined by red stakes (hole 9) (Rule 26).

3. Ground under repair
3.1.   Any area defined by white lines.
3.2.   Any area defined by blue stakes or lines: play prohibited (Rule 25-1).
3.3.   Hole 17: the nursery on the right hand side of the putting green is ground under repair; play prohibited, relief must be taken; a dropping zone is available as an additional option under Rule 25-1.

4. Obstructions
4.1. Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1).
4.2. Wire netting around plantations are immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2b).
4.3. Landscaped garden areas surrounded by an obstruction are part of the obstruction.
4.4. Hole 9 & 18: paths covered by synthetic rubber are immovable obstructions.

5. Protection of young trees indentified by a stake.
If such a tree interferes with the player's stance or area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b(i). The ball may be cleaned when lifted under this local rule.
Exception: A player may not obtain relief under this Local Rule if (a) interference by anything other than such a tree makes the stroke clearly impracticable or (b) interference by such a tree would occur only through the use of a clearly unreasonable stroke or an unnecessarily abnormal stance, swing or direction of play.

6. Environmentally-Sensitive Area (ESA)
Hole 12: The zone indicated by white-green posts is an Environmentally-Sensitive Area. Stance and playing the ball in this zone is strictly forbidden. A ball lying in this zone is out of bounds. The player can play a ball from the spot he last played, or as an additional option, he can drop a ball in the DROPPING ZONE on the left side of the front of the green (when playing hole 12), or in the DROPPING ZONE on the left side of the fairway (when playing hole 13).
For each option 1 penalty stroke has to be added to the score.

7. Embedded ball
When the signboard ‘Lift embedded ball’ is hanging in the courtyard, following rule apply.
Through the green, a ball that is embedded may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green.
Note: A ball is "embedded" when it is in its own pitch-mark and part of the ball is below the level of the ground. A ball does not necessarily have to touch the soil to be embedded (e.g., grass, loose impediments and the like may intervene between the ball and the soil).
Exceptions:
1.   A player may not take relief under this Local Rule if the ball is embedded in sand in an area that is not closely-mown.
2.   A player may not take relief under this Local Rule if interference by anything other than the condition covered by this Local Rule makes the stroke clearly impracticable

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES 1 to 7:
Match play – Loss of hole; Stroke play – Two strokes.
It is strictly forbidden to enter the ESA on hole 12 (except on the path).

8. Distance measuring
For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE 8:
Match play – Loss of hole; Stroke play – Two strokes.
For subsequent offence: disqualification.

9. Decision on ties
9.1.   The Gross score wins over the Net score.
9.2.   For classical competitions, the tiebreaker, both for the Gross and the Net score will be done on the score of last 9, 6, 3 holes and then the 18th, 17th, 16th, etc.
9.3.   In case of tee off on both hole 1 and hole 10, or in case of a shotgun, the tiebreaker will be done on the basis of the lowest handicap.
9.4.   For events in 36 holes, the tiebreaker will be done on the last 18 holes, both for the Gross and the Net score.
9.5.   At the Club Championships, the tiebreaker will be done in Play-Off in "Sudden Death".
